To Do List with the Your Story Photo & Imagine

I am definitely a list maker, and I just used up my favorite lined note pad. Luckily, the Imagine and Your Story Photo came to the rescue! To make the outside of my note pad, I trimmed this 4" x 6" cover, which came with the Your Story Photo, to a width of 3 1/8". It was very easy to cut on my paper cutter. I then trimmed the front cover flap down to 1".

To decorate it, I flood filled a rectangle with a pattern from the Better Together Imagine cartridge. It didn't come out to be the exact size I needed, but I just trimmed it down to 3/4" x 2 7/8" and inked up the edges. My "to do" is cut at 1" from the Cheerful Seasons Cricut cartridge, flood filled with a brown from the Imagine More cartridge. I added a little stitching to these letters with a white gelly roll pen. The strawberry, from Better Together, is cut at 1".

For the lined paper, I printed and cut from the Imagine More cartridge. This is a layer from another image, so I just separated the layers, deleted all of the other layers, and cut this one at 6" true size. I cut about 20 of them.

Your Story Photo Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Your Story Photo Blog Hop! If you don't have a Your Story yet, be sure to watch "YourStory Photo" on HSN, Dec. 13th, at 2 AM EST to learn more.

I ordered my Your Story Photo during the HSN launch last month, and it is so much fun and easy to use! It only take a couple of minutes to bind a book! I made my first project with it, a Holiday Planner, earlier this week. Today I'm sharing a fun journal that I put together for a fifth grader who has been helping me out in my classroom during recess. She is very girly, so I think this will be a perfect little Christmas gift for her.

I used one of the 5" x 7" covers that came in my Your Story Photo bundle. The black layer is 5" x 6 3/4", and the patterned paper is 4 3/4" x 6 1/2". I cut the name at 2" from Feeling Groovy, welding together the shadowed letters on my Gypsy. Using Create a Critter, I cut the cat at 2.5" and the pillow at 1.35".

For the inside of the journal, I cut about 20 sheets of 5" x 6 7/8" lavender cardstock, from a paper pack from Joann's. I was sure to score the paper at 1/4" before binding it, so the pages open more easily (I missed this small print in the Your Story directions when making my first book).

Holiday Planner

Today I'm sharing my project for Craft Junkie Too's Design Team. This week we were asked to share Christmas organization tips. Since I find myself with all sorts of lists stuffed into my purse at this time of year (gifts to buy, cards to send, thank you notes to write), I decided to make myself a little holiday planer. I used my new Your Story Photo and a 4" x 6" green book cover that came with it.

For the cover, I cut brown cardstock at 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" and layered it with a patterned paper cut at 5 1/2" x 3 1/2". The topnote is cut from Accent Essentials. I played around with my Gypsy to make a shadow. The white layer is 4.09" x 2.65", and the brown layer is 4.42" x 3.01". I also used some felt with a Papertrey Ink Die to accent my circle.

For the inside of my book, I make some lined pages by creating a template in Word and then running white cardstock through my printer and cutting it down to 4" x 6" sheets.

I made three sections for my planner: Cards, Gifts, and Thank Yous. For each one, I made a divider sheet with a 4" x 6" piece of brown cardstock, layered with a 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" piece of patterned paper. All of the elves are cut from Jolly Holidays at 3.5". The "cards" was made by welding together 1.88" letters from Gyspy Font.
